Creating art is the one thing that makes me feel human. Art has consistently pulled me out of my darkest periods. I can place portions of myself into a work to gain better perspective. I can create a degree of separation to begin to heal wounds.

In bringing abstract thoughts to form, perhaps art serves aa a diary of sorts. In sharing my experiences with grief, trauma, and clinical depression, I am able to end my isolation and build connections to those with similar experiences.
