Creating art is the one thing that makes me feel human. Art has consistently pulled me out of my darkest periods. I can place portions of myself into a work to gain better perspective. I can create a degree of separation to begin to heal wounds.

In bringing abstract thoughts to form, art has served as a diary of sorts. In sharing my experiences with grief, trauma, and clinical depression, I can build connections to those with similar experiences.

Mental Health Metaphor is a growing body of artwork and writing generally focused on mental health, coping mechanisms, insights into identity & whatever else comes to mind.
