i’ve been thinking about creating this sea captain for sometime… the idea came to me while listening to some remixed tune by w. fitzsimmon. this had me thinking of using the image as a base for an animated ‘video’ soundtrack. i’m of the mtv generation afterall…
i like the layout and figures, the echoed curls used throughout in the waves, beard, tentacles, et al… but does it need an albatross? or puffin? 😃
it’ll take me some experimentation to arrive at a final piece… soft water color? comic book coloring? we shall see…
either way, i will be going down with the ship, and bearded seaman, encountering quite a friendly creature.
