EquaLitē: Liberty Free

EquaLitē adapts the saccharin sweetener logo into a red, white and blue — July-fourth edition— logo for a for a new liberty-free equality.

My intent is to highlight the way America has subverted democracy, and the Constitutional Bill of Rights in the guise of nationalist rhetoric and false need for security from a mutable, nefarious threat.

The disapproving watchful eye, created by an overlay of the letters Q and lowercase i, can represent an increasingly oppressive government a la Orwell’s 1984.

Alternatively, the eye may highlight the need for Americans to pay attention and act against the erosions of personal autonomy and disparity in the provision of resources and liberties afforded the wealthy versus the general public.
