the nature of capitalism is artifice.

i’ve been attempting early morning strolls through the surrounding neighborhoods to avoid the summer heat & crowds clamoring for sun.

i hadn’t planned to take photos along the way, however after crossing paths with a derelict monopoly game board, this grouping of pics wouldn’t just arise from chance — nope, not that game board…

i’d not walked by 2 more houses before i passed a realty placard commanding ‘invest.’

despite an effort to resist, i quickly figured my train of thought had been sufficiently derailed. i fell into a conundrum. i hadn’t planned to invest any time on the subject at hand.

oh, relax! it’s a lovely morn’… whilst bombarded with the one thing causing such misery in the world. as i wander, i experience the despair & rage common to systemic oppression. i would like to retain hope. i believe in a better path, away from greed & violence.

entitled — i went for a walk and found nothing; capitalism — this selection of images navigates this stream of thought… not unlike therapy sessions for ptsd in a mine field.
