Felt Up: Queer Erotic Tomfoolery will be held at Studio 2507 on SE Clinton Street, Portland — just in time for Valentine’s Day. The show is comprised of two felt assemblage series, Felt Penis and de Flower. Each of the pieces are bright, campy, playful and rather punny.
In this exhibition, I aim to examine socially constructed perceptions of gender inequality, calling attention to historical differences in language and characterizations of the sexes while disarming the subject matter with humor.
