the image of a headless yellow figure on a field of brown and green, clutching what may be an empty bismuth pink stomach, is of my painting, Empty. completed back in 1992, this oil on canvas is one of my earliest paintings that survived through the decades.

the painting is perhaps the visual representation of my poem Anorexic Tendency, or rather the poem is the language i could use to describe what the painting represents to some degree. the painting predates this poem by many years.
