A Boy and His Shadow: Art Exhibition

In his second exhibition this year, Brent Pruitt explores identity politics through message and metaphor. This show features two distinctly modern interpretations of Gainsborough’s classic Blue Boy, and a lesser-known work, Pink Boy. A Boy & His Shadow is comprised of 8 oil paintings and 9 felt assemblage pieces.

This exhibition will be on view at the Men’s Wellness Center located at 209 SW 4th Avenue in downtown Portland Oregon.

A Boy and His Shadow will be on view through June and July with an opening reception Thursday, June 3rd from 6 – 9pm.

I’ve posted some new images on the site this afternoon. Most are for an upcoming exhibition, however one that I am very excited about is ‘Martha Stewart Ruins Everything!’. It's a lot of fun, and tends to play with people’s visual cortex.

This painting is a response to her act of recovering an office chair that had a lovely 1920s French fabric with a stripe of her own design. She must not watch Antique’ Roadshow.
