Camouflage: A Flood of Emotions Art Series Revisited
I originally produced this series as felt assemblage in 2009, and recently recreated each piece as a digital illustration. I like both. The felt versions are by their nature of material more organic, with greater dimension, texture and rough lines. As the digital versions are crisp, the figures are more reserved.
I represent only four emotions in this series, which I feel strongly: depression, contentment, happiness and love. The shades and colors for me represent the emotional dimension and multitude of experiences that encompass that state of being. We can choose to hide our emotions. We can decide to share them. Deny them, or revel in them.
For a comparison of the pieces, view the Camouflage: A Flood of Emotions series gallery.
